This was knit for a friend … she goes travelling to NYC in October. The merino was waxy to the touch when I was knitting, but since washing and blocking it has bloomed into a stunning soft, cuddly scarf.

I am not a fan of knitting with charcoal, but the result is enough for me to be tempted to put up with the pain. :)
